Growing up Snickerdoodle cookies were my most very favourite of all the cookies my mom made. I have great memories of eating them hot straight from the oven, unless of course she caught us.
To make this shake I used 1 serving of Plant-Based Whole Blend Vanilla Chai IsaLean shake and followed the recipe as instructed.
The taste did not disappoint, I loved it. When I make this again, I will use more ice to make it a bit thicker.
My only suggestion is if you don’t like cinnamon cut down on the amount asked for.

And then I topped the blender cup up with water. It was so smooth and ever so tasty. My daughter gave it a 9 out of 10 which is big for her and protein shakes.
The origin of the snickerdoodle is a subject of debate. One theory suggests that it has German roots, stemming from the German word "Schneckennudeln," which literally means "snail noodles"—a kind of cinnamon roll. However, another theory links it to the Dutch, but the most widely accepted notion is that snickerdoodles are as American as apple pie. Yet, their true heritage may be a fusion of culinary traditions from different immigrants, combined to create this cinnamon-spiced masterpiece.

The distinct flavor of the snickerdoodle comes from its rich cinnamon coating. Cinnamon has a long history itself, being one of the oldest spices known to humankind. Originating in Sri Lanka, cinnamon became a prized commodity in the ancient spice trade. The cinnamon in snickerdoodles offers a nostalgic, comforting flavor that resonates with people from various backgrounds.
In its simplest form, a snickerdoodle is a sugar cookie rolled in cinnamon sugar. Early recipes, dating back to the 19th century, called for basic ingredients: butter, sugar, flour, and eggs. However, there's a distinguishing ingredient that sets snickerdoodles apart from sugar cookies—cream of tartar. This acidic salt gives the cookies their characteristic tang and softer texture. Over the years, bakers have experimented with the recipe, introducing variations like the pumpkin snickerdoodle and even snickerdoodle cupcakes.
Snickerdoodles are more than just a sweet treat; they've had their fair share of cultural impact, too. They've been mentioned in literature, showcased in movies, and have even found their way into political events. In the United States, they are particularly popular during the holiday season, often serving as a staple in Christmas cookie exchanges.
In the era of social media, the snickerdoodle has experienced a resurgence. From Instagrammable snickerdoodle lattes to Pinterest-perfect snickerdoodle recipes, this classic cookie has found a new generation of fans. Recipe bloggers and home bakers alike are creating gourmet versions of this cookie, introducing exotic ingredients like matcha and chai spices, or catering to dietary restrictions by making gluten-free or vegan versions.
